Akshay Tritiya:

AUSPICIOUS THINGS TO DO ON AKSHAY TRITIYA 

It is believed that one gets ‘punya’ in life by doing good deeds on this day. AKSHAY MEANS WHICH CANNOT BE PERISHED. You might want to do things that you desire to remain permanently in your life. You might also want to buy things that you may want to keep forever. For people of spiritual nature, this day is conducive to do some act that might eventually lead to siddhi. It is desirable to:

• Feed cows with green fodder. 

• Resolve to take up the education expenses of a deserving, needy child or you can give atleast one month school fee of any needy child.

• Forgive and forget the past and renew relationships with friends and family.

• It is the best day to go for new investments like fixed deposits in Banks, Post Office Savings Scheme, and Insurance Policies etc. It is ideal day for starting new ventures. Buying gold silver is considered auspicious or you can buy utensils too , but don't buy iron.

•It is the best day to call your parents in far off places and take their blessings. Because blessings of parents can do wonders.

• If you have been initiated and have Guru mantra, it is best to do as many extra mala as possible.

• This is amazing opportunity to do some auspicious activity at home like performing special puja or hawan.

Clean your house and do pooja of Maa Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu with the things available with you at home. Akshay Tritiya is the only day when you can offer rice to lord Vishnu.

 Some special Daan are suggested on Akshaya Tritiya. They are:

Jala Daan (giving water) is for wealth.

Shayana Daan (giving bed) gives all happiness. It can be a bed sheet pillow or blanket.

Vastra Daan (giving clothes) gives long life

Chandana daan (giving sandalwood) prevents accidents. Chandan daan in any Vishnu or shiv mandir will make your life peaceful. If there is always a quarrel in your family, this will definitely help you. 

 Naariyal Daan (giving coconut) gives salvation to forefathers. Also gives blessings of Maa Lakshmi. 

 Butter milk daan (giving curdmilk) gives ability to study high. Your children can do this daan or you can do on their behalf.

Udakumbha Daan (giving water in silver vessel with safron, Tulsi with betul nut) gives desired results for those who wants to get marry or those who wants to have a child. If you are not able to donate silver vessel you can donate mud pot also.

 Chappal (giving slippers) will prevent us from going to hell after death.

 Chatra Daan (giving umbrella) will remove many obstacles in life

Take bath by adding some holy water, before sunrise it gives immense prosperity, wealth, and riddance from the past life bad karmas

offer water to Sun, with a little rice and red chandan powder or kumkum. 
Aan Daan (like giving wheat) satisfies Indra. He is a reason for getting rain and hence production of eatables on earth.

Making Rangolis with diya at the main door is considered very auspicious. 

Everyone should keep a pot with water mixed with some holy water and mango leaves in your mandir. First put a drop of holy water in vessel and there after fill the vessel with normal water.

Do not forget to worship Tulsi plant.

Annadaan is mahadaan ..you can donate cooked or uncooked food to needy people.

So, choose any daan that best suits you. DO LAKSHMI AND VISHNU POOJA ALONG WITH KUBER, SHRIYANTRA AND ALL THE OTHER IDOLS IN YOUR MANDIR on this auspicious day

NOTE  buy Gold or silver buy wheat or wheat flour, rice, Cinnamon, dry Dhania, buy rice, Sugar, and Honey. you can buy anything of your choice which you want to be present with you whole life.
Just remember not to enter your house empty hands on this auspicious day
